Good Morning All!

Looking for some Halloween inspiration and spookieness? Bob over at Eternal Sunshine of the Logical Mind has a rockin' post on scares and chills in the online land of the undead! That's some scary stuff!

The Toronto Japanese Short Film Festival is on it's second day here in Toronto. Want to hear all about the festival? Check out an interview with festival director Akiko Ohata over at the Toronto J-Film Pow Wow. The festival runs from October 7 - 10, 2008 at Innis Town Hall in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Variety reports Maple Pictures signing a deal with Miramax covering all of Canada. See all the details here.

Reuters reports on the new documentary rules for the Oscar's, specifically how it will disallow the chances of Waltz with Bashir from the running. They stat the new rules indicate that for the upcoming 81st Academy Awards there is a required one week screening in Los Angelas and Manhattan by August 31. The hoopla regarding the timeframe is that the deadline comes before the New York Film Festival.

Looking for a challenge? I am! Or, was... I've taken up the Lit Flicks Challenge and it's Companion Challenge. Read all about my book and film choices here.

Cool post Shannon, I checked out the link to the scary movies and didn't know most of them! I wish they would show more of those movies on Scream. Perhaps they do just late at night and I'm missing them?
