Poll Results: What March 2009 Release Are You Looking Forward to the Most?

Results are in and I'm not surprized to see the must anticipated Watchmen take the cake as the film people are most looking forward too. Happy to report that Bruce McDonald's Pontypool comes in second, followed by I Love You, Man in third.

44% - Watchmen
22% - Pontypool
16% - I Love You, Man
5%- Knowing, Monsters vs. Aliens, Race to Witch Mountain
0% - Duplicity, The Last House on the Left, One Week

Thanks for voting!

So curious as to whether or not you're going to see Watchman. I have heard a lot of warnings about it but I can't help it, I want to see it even though it's super dark.

Hey DG! I did see Watchmen & hoping to have a review up later today.

It is really dark, which I knew going in (especially because it's 18A) and it's worth watching but not what we've come to expect from a comic book movie. More to come...

Woohoo! I can't wait to read the review and I'm actually intrigued by the idea of looking at superheroes through a more realistic potentially deadly lens. It's an interesting concept. I'm so glad you think it's worth watching. I can't wait to see it, definitely going to next weekend.

a friend of mine said that he thought Pontypool opened already. is that true? i haven't seen any commercials and didn't notice any ads for it. why do canadian distributors always do that. i hope I didn't miss it.

DG - There is some gender stuff, which I'll say more in my review, but is good to know going in.

Anon - Pontypool was released March 6, 2009 in Toronto. There were ads in papers, interviews in print and online with Bruce McDonald and also some advance screenings. I'm surprized it opened the same weekend as Watchmen but to be honest it got a lot more coverage than most Canadian releases. It was at TIFF in 2008 and also on Canada's Top Ten 2008 and receive very well at those screenings.
