Canadian, North American & UK Box Office September 4, 2009 Weekend

It was a really quiet weekend at the box office last weekend. Films with opening weekends only landed in 3rd spot or below and in Canada Inglourious Basterds rose back to #1 in its third week whereas the The Final Destination kept top honours for the second week running in North America.

Updated with UK Box Office and District 9 lands in the UK and claimed top of the charts! (500) Days of Summer also rings in high at #3 in it's first week.

Good to see Final Destination didn't take the #1 spot up in Canada as well... unfortunately here in America we enjoy walking into bad situations ignoring all the signs.

Although I've not seen The most recently Final Destination, I hold a soft spot for them as I saw the 2nd one when I got off work early one day which was a sweet surprize, regardless of the film!
