2012 Obliterates the Box Office: Canadian, North American & UK Box Office November 13, 2009 Weekend

No big surprize that the big daddy disaster movie 2012 brought people in downs to see things destroyed, as it takes the cake in Canada, North America and the UK this weekend. Although it didn't break records it's the highest box office since Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (in Canada & N.America) and Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (in the UK) which hold the biggest first weekend this year. But the big question is, will The Twilight Saga: New Moon set new records next week?

Interesting that Paranormal Activity is higher than Fourth Kind in Canada and it's the opposite in the U.S., huh!

I have no desire to see 2012. I am so sick of disaster movies. I'm done with them. Done! I guess most people disagree with me, LOL.

2012 doesn't appeal to me, although I do like disaster movies - especially from the 70's. But newer ones are all about the effects it seems and I've never gone "Oh!! Look at that Explosion!"

Oh well yes! The 70s did disaster movies right, I found them riveting but now, it's all cgi and the characters aren't developed at all. It's just disaster eye candy which is a tad creepy.
