Hey Shannon! I was watching Cooking with Stella last night (didn't get through the whole thing but will today) and I agree, I wanted to connect with this movie but I just couldn't be very sympathetic to a lot of the characters that I think we're supposed to like. I also wanted more food than they're dishing out. Disappointing! The best thing about the movie has been the landscape and really getting to see India but I agree with you, I am feeling quite confused when it comes to my reaction to the film. I am not even sure I want to finish watching it!

I totally hear you Suzie, I had a very similar experience with the film - wanted to connect, but wasn't quite there and then definitely wasn't there. It was pretty surprizing on that front. While it didn't quite meet my expectations I would still say give it a go to finish it off, I was glad I did.

I am so glad you did have a similar experience Shannon, I was getting uncomfortable with it, like I was missing something too so I feel better now. I did watch the end but it seemed totally absurd to me, LOL. At least I "completed" it! :) Maybe I am one of the family completists after all. (I did FF a lot though!)

A completist you may be! Often my curiousity is what makes me want to keep with things, if it's singular that is. But once I get into a set of things it's hard to let go.
