DVD Releases for August 17, 2010

Tuesday time means DVD release time for the week! Let's have a look at the DVD releases for Tuesday August 17, 2010!

It shouldn't be any surprize that I am most enthused for the release of the South Korean western The Good The Bad The Weird as I've been talking about it like crazy since I heard about it 2 years ago, and the DVD has a nice set of extras with behind the scenes footage, making of's and cast & crew interviews that really show just how much work and dedication went into the film, and you can see all those detailed over at my DVD review of the film here. Also out on DVD this week is Skellig - The Owl Man starring Tim Roth as an owl man who befriends a young boy (Bill Milner of Son of Rambow) during a time of family transition and change. We also have Me and Orson Wells starring Zac Efron as a young aspiring actor that works with Orson Wells. More western goodness with the Canadian comedy-centric western Gunless starring Paul Gross. Also out is Ca$h starring Sean Bean, Chris Hemsworth and Victoria Profeta as a trio that gets thrown together after an odd, and large, cold hard cash mix up.

If you are feeling nostalgic and want to get ready for this weeks upcoming 3D craziness of Piranha 3D you can go old school classic and check out the original Piranha on DVD as it hits the shelves today. TV on DVD this week includes Dexter Season 4 as well as Season 1- 4 Set.

Also in release is The Last Song and emotional drama based on a Nicholas Sparks novel and staring Miley Cyrus and Greg Kinnear, and the wildlife takes up matters into their own hands in Furry Vengeance.
